King Carl Tornam Duho
MPhil · BSc · ACMA · CGMA · CAI help businesses and organizations make better financial decisions; from models and forecasts to policy strategy.
I am a finance and strategy professional with over ten years of experience in financial modeling, FP&A, policy analysis, and strategic advisory, with experience working with private companies, governments, and international organizations, across the United States, Africa, and Europe.
My work sits at a rare intersection: the practical demands of real-world decision-making and the quantitative rigor of research. As a former Research Professional at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Youth Fellow at the International Monetary Fund, I bring evidence-based thinking to every engagement, not just frameworks.
On the consulting side, I have delivered financial models, fiscal policy reports, and investment recommendations for institutions including private sector companies (the CEOs, CFOs, and their boards), the UN, UNDP, Oxfam International, GIZ, and the Government of Ghana, with analyses presented to parliaments, heads of state, and senior UN leadership. On the corporate side, I have led full FP&A cycles, from DCF and EV/EBITDA modeling and quarterly budgeting to executive-level presentations for CFOs and VPs of Finance.
Expertise
Research-wise, my interests and scope of work have evolved. My previous research works were on financial services firms (banks, microfinance, and fintech), information economics (corporate disclosures on ESG issues), auditing, and taxation. I also completed technical reports on investment analysis, entrepreneurship, and economic reforms.
My focus is to apply causal approaches to study these and other accounting, finance and development issues.
